No, this thread is not intended to discuss the Heat Big 3, the Celtics Big 3, or any other super team. What the thread is intended to discuss is the professional league coming our way in late June that consists of former NBA players and legends participating in a three on three tournament lasting until August 26th. Some former NBA players that will participate in the contest include Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Steven Jackson, Charles Oakley and Jermaine Oneal. The games will be broadcasted once a week (Sundays) on Fox Sports 1. I find the concept to be fascinating, one in which we'll see aspects of a team ball, intertwined with the structural feel of a one on one contest or team contest at the GYM.
It obviously pales in comparison to the NBA, but I do anticipate and at least hope that it will provide more entertainment than Summer League games.
Any thoughts?
